Email is still the highest-converting channel for most businesses, and it is also one of the most time-consuming to do well.

The brand document is the foundation

Before any email sequence gets written, Claude Code reads the brand document. The voice rules, tone guidelines, audience profile, and brand-specific phrases apply to every email the system generates. For client work, the document includes the client language patterns, offer structure, and examples of emails that have worked well in the past.

Building a nurture sequence

A nurture sequence is a series of emails sent over days or weeks to warm up a lead toward a purchase decision. The email sequence skill takes a brief including the product or offer being nurtured toward, the starting point of the subscriber, the sequence length, and any specific objections to address. From that brief, the skill produces all emails in one run. Subject lines, preview text, and body copy for each email. The tone stays consistent because the voice rules are applied across every email in the same session.

Single email campaigns

For one-off campaign emails, we pass the purpose of the email, the offer or news it is communicating, and any deadline or urgency elements. The skill produces a subject line, preview text, and body copy in the brand voice. The review step for a single email takes about five minutes.

Where the AI output falls short

The gaps that appear consistently are in the personal moments. An email that references a specific real story requires a human to provide the raw material. The skill can draft around a story if you give it one. It cannot invent a real story.

Improving the skill over time

After a sequence goes out and we can see open rates and click-through rates, we add notes to the skill file. Subject line styles that worked. Opening lines that pulled strong open rates. Over time, the skill accumulates a pattern library drawn from real performance data rather than general best practices.

What this saves per sequence

Writing a seven-email nurture sequence by hand: typically six to eight hours. Writing the same sequence with the email skill: under three hours total.
